Ok friends, you are here and are ready to dive deep and start your permaculture journey! Congratulations! The desire to make those changes in your life is what has lead you here and that is something to celebrate! Now you might be wondering, ok what's next?


Here at Seed and Root Grange, we understand that taking some sort of actionable step can seem overwhelming. After all, don’t forget, we are new to this journey too! And with so many resources out there, picking one may seem like a daunting task. Because of this, we have decided to try and simplify this process as much as we can so that you can more confidently begin your journey.


Without a doubt we recommend taking a permaculture course, especially if you are a novice like us. Taking a course will widen your knowledge and skill set, equipping you with the tools that you need to begin this journey.

Course Description:


In this two-part course, students will learn about the importance of soil, seeds, biodiversity, water and regenerative farming practices. Permaculture allows the true abundance of our Earth to flourish and nourish future generations with guidance from past generations!

This class is designed for kids aged 7 years old and up and is adapted based on the audience. However, the material can be received by parents and delivered to smaller aged kids.

We encourage the entire family to participate in the class so that the coursework can be done as a family collaboration. This family learning environment is where we have observed the richest outcomes.

Course Description:


In this 10-part class series, children will learn the impact of environmental toxicity on the human body and what they can do to protect themselves and their health. They will also learn the truth and history about the food industry in America, GMO’s, EMF’s, antibiotics and pharmaceuticals.


Specifically, children will learn what’s in the foods that they are eating and how they can make sustainable food choices. We will explore the importance of whole/living Foods, superfoods and fermentation. Thus, children have tools to become advocates for their own health.
