Our Mission
Seed & Root Grange brings families together to improve the social, economic, civil and agricultural well-being of our community. Together, we consciously co-create a world aligned with our deepest values for ourselves, our children, and future generations.
The Four Pillars of Seed & Root Grange:
Social
SRG establishes “New Town Squares”: physical hubs where the community shares information, products, and services. We offer events to bring the community together and alternative education to support homeschooling families.
Economic
SRG works to rebuild a healthy ecosystem of local businesses and services. With a focus on local economics we can vote with our dollars, keep skills and trades alive in our community, and make ourselves more resilient to supply chain disruption.
Community
SRG teaches citizens how to participate in advocacy, policy making, and local government in order to drive sustainable change. Through engagement with municipal systems we can play a meaningful role in shaping our local community.
Agricultural
SRG aims to decentralize the food system, connect citizens with local farms, and empower community members to grow their own food. We promote food security and bring permaculture to people’s homes and community gardens through food forest installation.
